Hans Hiebl was born in 1961 in Runding, a small Bavarian village in Germany. After finishing his university studies in electronic engineering in 1985, he directly joined Siemens Automobiltechnik, the former automotive branch of Siemens AG, as a project leader within Body Electronics.
Mr. Hiebl took on the role as a key project leader for Daimler and Nissan and later on acted as sales segment lead for the US customers Ford, Chrysler, GM as well as Nissan in Troy, USA. In 1998, he went back to Regensburg in Germany and took on the challenging position as Head of Sales & Portfolio within Body Electronics. After 8 years, Mr. Hiebl moved with his family to Yokohama, Japan, to work in a new function directing the sales segment for Asian vehicle manufacturers with Siemens VDO. Back in Germany in 2010, he brought in all his expertise to take over the responsibility for Continental`s “Asia up!” initiative, before transferring to the Infotainment & Connectivity Business Unit as a segment head, successfully introducing new sales initiatives.
In December 2012, Mr. Hiebl was promoted to head the global Business Unit Infotainment & Connectivity within the Interior Division as Executive Vice President.
Mr. Hiebl is married with three children. He spends most of his spare time with his family, likes travelling around the world and is interested in gardening. He has a passion for everything that has wheels, especially classic cars from the 1950’s on as well as offroad rides with ATV´s.
