Trevor Pawl

Trevor Pawl is the Senior Vice President of Business Innovation at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. In this role, Trevor leads the State of Michigan’s economic development programs focused on the future of mobility (PlanetM), supply chain (Pure Michigan Business Connect), entrepreneurship, and international trade. Since 2013, these initiatives have facilitated over $10 billion in new business for Michigan companies and sustained over 46,000 local jobs across the state.

Prior to this role, Trevor co-founded Connection Point, an economic development program within the Detroit Regional Chamber that uncovered $200 million in procurement opportunities for Michigan suppliers before it was acquired by the State of Michigan.

Trevor has been named Crain’s Detroit Business’s “50 Names to Know in Government” and “40 Under 40 Professionals in Detroit”; Development Counsellors International’s “40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Economic Development”; Great Lakes Women’s Business Council’s “Government Advocate of the Year”; Grand Valley State University’s “Up and Coming Alumni of the Year” and DBusiness’ “30 In Their 30’s”. Additionally, he is a TEDxDetroit speaker.

Trevor holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy, a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University, a Certificate in Global Affairs from New York University, and a Michigan Political Leadership Program Fellowship through Michigan State University.
