Dr. Tarak Trivedi is an emergency physician and researcher with a background in public health and epidemiology. He obtained his MD from the University of Chicago, and completed residency training at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.
Dr. Trivedi has been a research fellow in applied epidemiology at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, and obtained his Master’s in Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He currently practices as an emergency physician and clinical instructor at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. As a clinician on the front lines, he regularly witnesses the downstream effects of social policies on the health of individuals. He is passionate about research and data analysis to inform the public and private agents capable of instituting policy change.
